Fallon Field is 7.57 acres and contains a baseball field, a field used for football, lacrosse and rugby, a basketball court and hockey arena, each with bleachers, fences, and a mechanized score board, and a tennis court. There is also a tot-lot that was renovated in 2001 and is heavily used. In part because it is located near the top of a hill and is bordered on three sides by somewhat moderately busy streets, Fallon Field is highly visible, open, and accessible. There is sculpted greenery within the park along walking paths. These paths are well-used by pedestrians, in part because they can cut travel time significantly. The wide sidewalk around the perimeter of the park is also heavily used by pedestrians.
Eight sets of lights tower over the park and a wrought-iron fence borders the park.

It is bordered by two or three homes, the commuter rail to the west, and the busy Hyde Park Avenue to the east, making access to the facility difficult for the vast majority of visitors. Visitation to the park is facilitated by a stoplight and walk sign on Hyde Park Avenue but not by a formal crosswalk. There are three entrances to the park, all of which are along Hyde Park Avenue. The playground includes a soccer field ringed in low lights and a paved walkway, a small artificial turf field encased in a metal frame, a parking lot with approximately 24 spaces, and another multi-purpose field. The park is located near the border between Jamaica Plain and Roslindale, but is on the Jamaica Plain side.

St. Michael was founded in 1905 as a perpetual care cemetery. Today it continues to serve Boston families as a non denominational cemetery. St. Michael has now developed an additional 14-acre site along Walk Hill Street and American Legion Highway. This land, consecrated for burial many years ago, includes wooded borders, a flowing brook and a 16-foot-tall shrouded cross that has become our signature piece.
